Dutch Hotel School raises money
Hospitality, education and fundraising are three values that Hotel con Corazón stands for. The same goes for a group of Dutch hospitality management students of Hotelschool The Hague, who are organising a charity event. Students and alumni will be invited for this event, to network, to meet and to raise money.
It sounds like a match made in heaven: all the profit generated by this event (through an auction, drink sales and donations) will go to Hotel con Corazón’s expansion projects in Cambodia, Suriname, Mexico and Nicaragua.
The event Unite and Connect for Corazón will take place on June 14 on the recently opened rooftop bar of the Ramada Apollo Hotel Amsterdam. The goal of the event is to link hospitality professionals to young hospitality talents and give them the opportunity to meet and connect with each other.
For the organising students, Hotel con Corazón seemed like a logical cause for the event: ’Hotel con Corazón’s main message is in line with one of our main areas of expertise, the hospitality industry, and education. As we feel privileged to be given this opportunity to have good education for our future, we want to give other children a chance to grow through education. The key to a better life is indeed education, especially in third world countries, which are targeted by the organization. As the aim of this charity is to invest into a brighter education around the world, we can identify ourselves with this and want to support them as much as possible.’
On the auction page of Unite and Connect for Corazón you can donate items for the auction.
