Cook like a Nica

Gallo Pinto, Indio Viejo, Repocheta, Salpicón
In this workshop, our friends (Doña Rivera or Doñã Carmen) teach you the “Nica art of cooking” in their own kitchen. Stroll with our guide through the market to buy ingredients. Learn how to cook like Nicas and enjoy your culinary creations together. Enjoy your meal!
4 hours – $25 p/p, minimum 2 people

Make your own Piñata

Have you seen one of those beautiful paper piñatas? You can now make your own! Your teachers are warm people with a mental handicap and experts in piñata making! Have fun, contribute to another good cause, bring your own piñata home or donate it to the foundation to sell. The profits of their sales go directly to this foundation.
3 hours – $25 p/p, minimum of 2 people

Catch your own Lunch

See, do & taste the isletas ‘the Nicaraguan way’! You will visit two isletas and experience how the islanders live and eat. You can go fishing with Don Horacio and catch your own lunch… Afterwards, relax, and have a little swim.
6 hours – $40 p/p

All prices are in US dollars and based on at least two persons per trip. All trips include transportation, entrance fees, equipment and a bilingual Spanish/English speaking guide. Traveling on your own? We can look for a trip companion or talk about the price.
