JOBS CON CORAZON.
Hotel con Corazón has three types of jobs: paid positions, internships and volunteers.
Paid positions
In Nicaragua we work almost exclusively with local staff, both at the hotel and in the education projects. Local staff are paid a competitive local salary and receive support towards professional development. The management functions are for now executed by foreign professionals. They receive a contribution to cover their living costs in Nicaragua.
Internships
Hotel con Corazón works with interns and trainees on a regular basis, both from Nicaraguan schools and from abroad. We provide a professional learning environment with lots of room for new initiatives. In return we ask for a proactive attitude and specific knowledge to help us develop, for example in hotel and hospitality management, education, sustainable development, marketing and communications or accounting. Good English and a working knowledge of Spanish are indispensable. The working period is for a minimum of 6 months.
Volunteers
Outside Nicaragua we work exclusively with volunteers. Everybody, from the chairman of the board to the graphic designer, puts in his or her time voluntarily. What you get back for it is being part of a network of professionals who enjoy looking for “new solutions” to “old problems”; a ‘movement’ that shares expertise and fun.
