Granada by Bike

A fun and active way to see the city & surroundings! Discover the oldest town in the Americas and admire its colonial houses and ancient monuments.

2 hours – $14 per person

Catch your own Lunch

See, do & taste the isletas ´the Nicaraguan way´! You will visit two isletas and experience how the islanders live and eat. You can go fishing with Don Horacio and catch your own lunch… Afterwards, relax, and have a little swim.

6 hours – $40 p/p

Visit the people at the Mombacho

Experience the community and its people at the foot of the volcano. Walk through the community, learn how people live and work in the countryside, and enjoy a typical homemade lunch.

Canopy (Zipline)

Have lots of fun and feel the adrenaline once you glide over the top of the trees of the Mombacho volcano. From there you will see the coffee plantations and have a great view of the surroundings.

Hike la Calera

Groups only (at least 6 persons)

Take an impressive hike on the Mombacho volcano and discover its native flora and fauna. You will see thermal baths as well as cacao, citrus, and banana plantations. The trip ends at a farmer’s house with a breathtaking view of the volcano and the isletas.

Cook like a Nica

Gallo Pinto, Ensalada Criollo, Repocheta

Always wanted know how these strangely named dishes are prepared?

In this workshop, Doña Rivera teaches you the ‘Nica art of cooking’ in her own kitchen. Stroll with her through the market to buy the ingredients. Cook a tasty lunch or dinner and enjoy your own culinary creations together.

Make your own Piñata

Have you seen one of those beautiful paper piñatas? You can now make your own! Your teachers are happy people with mental handicaps who are experts in piñata making. Have fun, contribute to another good cause, and bring your own piñata home!

3 hours – $20 p/p

White Towns

Get to know the white towns, famous for their ceramics. Learn about the production process and experience yourself how they are made! Enjoy a lunch with a wonderful view of the lagoon and explore the town of flowers: Catarina.

Horse City Trip

Take a tour in a traditional horse carriage. This way you can sit back and relax while admiring the beautiful colonial city of Granada.

Isletas by Boat

Take a boat ride to observe the flora and fauna of the 365 islands surrounding Granada. These islands are also known as ‘the daughters’ of the majestic volcano Mombacho.

Discover Mombacho

Discover the large variety of flora and fauna on the Mombacho volcano. Once there, you can enjoy the great view of the other volcanoes, of Laguna de Apoyo, of the city of Granada, of Lake Nicaragua, and of the isletas.

Volcán Masaya

Visit the active volcano of Masaya and its smoking crater Santiago. On this trip you can enjoy the wonderful views of lake Nindiri, of Volcán Momotombo, of Nicaragua’s capital Managua, and of all surrounding forests. At the museum you can learn all about the history of the land and volcanoes in Nicaragua.

Coffee Trip

Learn about the whole process of coffee production, from the planting of the seeds until it is ready to drink.

Lava Night Trip

Get to know the impressive Masaya Volcán at night. We will go into the bat cave and at the end of the trip, we’ll see the lava glowing.

Granada is buzzing!

jaarverslag-2015The ongoing operation in Granada is buzzing as always! We had a close to record revenue of USD 277,785 in 2015 and 231 students have started the new school year in January of 2016. Read more
